Over one million people living on the Southeast coast of the U.S. were ordered to evacuate last night, as Hurricane Florence churns toward the East Coast.

CNN reports, “Florence was upgraded twice Monday, from Category 3 to 4, prompting evacuation orders in coastal areas of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. One year after historic storms that ravaged the American Gulf Coast and Puerto Rico last year, officials warned not to underestimate the threat the storm poses. Residents boarded up their homes, formed long lines at gas stations and emptied the shelves of hardware stores and supermarkets.”

Florence still hasn’t reached peak intensity and will near Category 5 status tomorrow, the National Hurricane Center said. Follow the storm at the NHC’s website here.

Explosive Book on Trump’s White House on Sale

A book by former Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward — best known for breaking a story that brought down a Republican president in the 1970s — is available today, and it paints a picture of a dysfunctional administration plagued by infighting.

“Fear: Trump in the White House,” shot to the top of the Amazon best seller list last night. President Trump and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders have both slammed the book for relying on anonymous sources. Sanders called it “incredibly reckless.”

Last But Not Least: Cardi B – Nicki Minaj Beef not Cooling Down

The incident that left Cardi B walking out of a New York fashion week event with only one shoe and a lump over her eye is not blowing over.

Nicki Minaji — who Cardi says attacked her fitness as a parent —  reportedly said “you put your hands on certain people you gon die. PERIOD,” according to TMZ.

For her part, Cardi says she’d go after Nicki again if she heard the same insult.
